How do I get Sage-ST ä ?

Simply click here to begin downloading the latest version of Sage-ST ä . The Modula-2 and Ada libraries require the Stony Brook compiler. In the original installation Thor will limit the user to only 20 relations unless you register the product and get a registration key. U.S. Government agencies can freely use the product and simply need to contact us to receive the registration key. All others should inquire about a license for the product. Once the key information has been entered there are no restrictions imposed in Thor other than the system maximum values.

Is there on-line help for Sage-ST ä ?

To download the Sage-ST ä help file click here . The file contains the latest HTML help file for Sage-ST. Once the file has been installed to your machine simply double click it to open the help. If it does not open you may need to install the Microsoft HTML help engine on your machine. See the Microsoft web site for further details.

Do I need other stuff to run Sage-ST ä ?

The only other tool needed to use Sage-ST is the StonyBrook compiler. If you want additional information about StonyBrook they can be contacted at 805 496-5837 or stonybrook@compuserve.com

Sometimes the library is compiled with the base StonyBrook compiler with some additional patches applied. If after downloading the libraries you attempt to compile and get errors, you may need to get the latest patches. Listed below are the version of the compilers and any patches that we are using. Simply click the name of the patch files to download.

Copy the patch file over the top of the file by the same name. It may be in the main compiler directory or in one of the subdirectories.

Recompile the run-time libraries. To do this with the Modula-2 compiler simply go to the directory where the compiler is installed and run the batch file M2RTL.BAT with the parameter of X32 (i.e. M2RTL X32) in order to recompile the DOS run time libraries. To recompile the Windows run-time libraries run the same batch file (M2RTL.BAT) with the parameter of Win32 (i.e. M2RTL Win32).

To recompile the run-time libraries for Ada simply go to the directory where the compiler is installed and run the batch file ADARTL.BAT with the parameter of X32 (i.e. ADARTL X32) in order to recompile the DOS run time libraries. To recompile the Windows run-time libraries run the same batch file (ADARTL.BAT) with the parameter of Win32 (i.e. ADARTL Win32).

Recompile your project files. When you initially enter the environment it will probably detect that the run-time has changed and want to compile some of your files. Just to be safe be sure to force a compile of all the files by using the 'Build' - 'Compile Unconditional' menu commands.
