Scope of Work


Effective on the date of the last signature on this document, Battelle Energy Alliance (BEA), a management and operating contractor at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INL) acting under its Contract Number DE-AC07-94ID13223 with the United States Department of Energy, and ____________________________________ , agree as follows:
General

BEA (Battelle Energy Alliance) has established an Sage-ST ä Users' Group for the purpose of providing users of the Sage-ST software with technical consultation on its use. Technical consultation is provided to Sage-ST Users' Group members by BEA as part of its mission to facilitate the transfer of technology that is developed at the INL (Idaho National Laboratory).

The cost for joining the Sage-ST Users' Group is three thousand six hundred U. S. dollars ($3,600.00) which represents the full cost to BEA for providing the service, and is not a charge for the software. This amount is subject to revision by BEA at the time of membership renewal.
Restrictions

BEA personnel will provide the products and services listed under the Sage-ST Support Services to members of the Sage-ST Users' Group only. In order to assure that the Government recovers the full cost of providing this service, the services provided by BEA are limited to use within one single site. Furthermore, it is necessary to restrict the use of the telephone consulting service to two (2) registered persons per site.
Period of Performance

Service shall commence upon the receipt of a cash advance. The standard service support runs from the 1st of October to the 30th of September. Members wishing to join at times other than October 1st will pay a pro-rated cost for membership (see Table on page 3) ending at the standard Users' Group year end. Thereafter, renewals shall commence upon the 1st of October each year. For renewals BEA must receive the annual fee ($3600) on or before October 31st of the new User Group year. BEA may terminate this service at the time of renewal if BEA determines that it will not continue to provide this service in the future.

Description of Sage-ST Support Services


Users' Group Services Include:

Technical Consulting Service . A maximum of 24 hours of technical consulting services in support of the software installation, hardware compatibility, and software use will be provided. Up to two (2) persons at one site can register to use the technical consulting service. Service can be requested by phone to the Sage-ST Support Line at (208) 526-0656, or by E-mail to 'warren.merrill@inl.gov'.
General Services Available:

Software . The Sage-ST software is available from the Sage-ST home page as a free download. U. S. Government employees can call the Sage-ST Support Line (208) 526-0656, and upon verification of their U. S. Government affiliation, will receive a password to unlock the full capabilities of Sage-ST. Non-U.S. Non-U.S. Government personnel should contact the INL through the Sage-ST Support Line (208) 526-0656 for information on licensing.
Internet Web Page . An Internet Web Site is available as a means to allow sharing of information concerning latest development of the Sage-ST software and to provide an opportunity for users to provide feedback to BEA personnel responsible for developing and maintaining the software.
Training . Training can be provided and customized to customer's needs under separate contract. Courses will be offered at full-cost recovery.
Additional Consulting Services . Additional consulting services beyond the 24 hours can also be negotiated under a separate contract.
