Tagging Relations to Rebuild

Once you have selected a .DFL and supplied the necessary passwords (if required), Figure 11 will be displayed. On this screen, you select the relations you wish to rebuild. The following function keys are provided:

<F2> - If your database files (i.e., the *.DAT, *.IDX, and *.BLK) are located in a different directory than the DFL, you may use <F2> to specify the location of these files. When you press <F2>, you will be prompted to enter a new path. Enter the path and press <Enter>. The Tag Relations window will be updated to reflect the data files stored in the new directory (path).

<F4> - This function key allows you to tag specific relations to rebuild. To tag a relation, simply highlight the relation and press <Enter>. An asterisk will appear in front of the tagged relation. This is a toggle; therefore, if you tag a relation to rebuild and then decide you do not wish to rebuild this relation, highlight it and press <F4> again. The asterisk will be removed thereby untagging the relation.

<F5> - This function key allows you to tag all the relations in the .DFL. When you press <F5>, an asterisk will appear in front of all the relations listed in the Tag Relation window. This is a toggle; therefore if you tag all the relations and then decide that you do not want to rebuild all the relations, simply press <F5> again. All asterisks will be removed.

<Enter> - When the relations have been tagged, press <Enter> to initiate the rebuild process. Upon pressing <Enter>, Figure 12 will appear. (Refer to Select the Type of Rebuild .)

<Esc> - The <Esc> key exits this screen and returns you to the previous menu.
